4D2N (the other 2 day was spent travelling on coach)
S$365 (can't remember exact but its around S$360) inclusive of all 3 meals, snorkelling trips, quad sharing sea view room, transportation. Mainly all are covered so I only brought about S$100 and came back with some money left.
BUT apart from snorkelling, the other optional activities you need to pay too. Like deposit for beach soccer ball and volleyball, banana boat, archery, massage etc etc.
There seems to be a lot of activites in-house going on, karaoke, boardgames, pub, disco etc. Then out of the resort, there are available activities like sun set cruise, island hopping etc.
Laguna Resort
Travel during SUPER peak period 16th - 19th.
My personal opinon:
Avoid travelling there during peak period.
- After I came back from the trip and chatted with a couple of people whom went there not during the peak season, seems like the staff there will bring you to special places to snorkel! Leopard sharks and all can be spotted. Its understandable la, the period we went was so crowded that during snorkelling trips, 4 boats have to be catered. Guess when its less crowded, staff there can pay more attention to you and wouldnt mind bringing you to out of the boundary places.
Laguna is goooooooood.
- All except the check out part. Quite unpleasant la! Will blog about it other day. But I attribute a huge part lies in the peak season. =(
Go as a group. I seriously think 4 is a good number. We had 8, so it was double the fun!
- Some activities required a minimum number of people to start, like banana boat etc. Besides, its more fun!
Don't expect a lot of water sports available.
- Thats the thing about beach resort. Its a resort, so you practically do nothing. There are activities and all but its not like Phuket, where there are parasailing, jet ski etc etc. If you looking for water sports, Thailand is a better choice.
Bring entertainment for coach ride.
- My god, the coach ride is at least 9 hours!!! The ultimate is on the last day, we checked out at 9am but only reached Singapore midnight. 1 full day is wasted. Everyone tells me to sleep, but after a while there's only so much you can sleep la. I brought DS lite(Thanks Gek!) but it was low batt on the journey back. =(
- Prepare a jacket too, coz I think its very useful on the coach. Nono, not because the coach is cold but good to cover your ugly face when sleeping.
Don't expect this type of coach ah. 一分钱一分货. You pay what you get. We got a comfortable coach, heng ah!
